Conference Speaker: Ken Sande
Ken Sande is president of Peacemaker Ministries
(www.Peacemaker.net) in Billings, Montana. He gained experience for
this ministry by working as a medical research and development engineer
and as an attorney. In 1982 he and several other attorneys, pastors,
and business leaders founded Peacemaker Ministries to “equip and assist
Christians and their churches to respond to conflict biblically.”
Ken has ministered to parties in hundreds of conflicts ranging
from simple personal disputes to complex church and legal conflicts. He
regularly serves as a consultant to churches and Christian leaders and
has written numerous resources on conflict resolution. His book The Peacemaker: A Biblical Guide to Resolving Personal Conflict has been translated into thirteen languages. He co-authored a book for teens, The Peacemaker Student Edition, and a book focusing on family relationships, Peacemaking for Families.
Ken is passionate about bringing the life-changing power of the
gospel and God's peacemaking principles into the lives of Christians
and their churches. He and a staff of 35 carry out Peacemaker
Ministries’ educational and conciliation ministry across the
denominational spectrum and around the globe.
He loves to teach and God has given him many opportunities to
speak at churches and conferences in North America, Latin America,
Asia, Africa, and Europe. His primary goal is to teach Christians to
model the reconciling power of Jesus by building a “culture of peace”
in their families and churches.
Ken is a history and movie buff. He often comes up with
new ideas for serving the church when he is running. His wife,
Corlette, published a biblical curriculum for children, The Young Peacemaker,
which has been translated into several languages for families, schools,
Sunday schools, and missions. The Sandes and their two teenagers love
to hike and ski in the mountains near their home in Montana.
